RANCHI, Aug. 25 -- The Jharkhand high court on Monday refused to grant a stay order against the state government's decision to terminate the ongoing recruitment process for Forest Range Officers (FROs). A high court advocate close to the matter informed that the single-bench court of Justice Deepak Roshan passed this order while hearing a petition. "The petition was filed by Amit Kumar and several other aggrieved candidates who had actively participated in the appointment process. The court refused to grant an immediate stay and directed the state government to file an affidavit in the matter," he said. The legal challenge follows a sweeping notification issued by the Jharkhand state government on August 18.
