PATNA, March 24 -- Focused, consistent preparation, self study and self belief were some of the mantras of success for Aditi Kumar, Bihar Board (BSEB) Class 12 Commerce stream topper for 2026, achieving an impressive 96% (480/500 marks). In doing so, she not only brought laurels to her school, St. Xavier's High School, Patna, but also made her family -- father. mother and an elder brother, proud of her achievements. Talking to HT, Aditi, who aspires to become a successful Chartered Accountant, credited her success to consistent preparation and clarity of concepts. "After my 10th board, I utilised the gap between the results and admission for preparation for 12 exam. I made notes and when the actual classes started, it became easier for me to understand things better and made the concepts more clear,," she said. She also shared that she did not rely much on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools during her studies and instead focused on basic preparation and regular revision. "With simple and focused study, I was able to top the exam," she said. "I am delighted with my achievement and I was confident of doing well. I thank my school, parents and my elder brother for the support," she said adding that on an average she studied for 7-8 hours but with breaks. Enquired about his choice of chartered accountancy course, Aditi said, "She want to more about the economy."
