PATNA, Oct. 1 -- The Bihar state housing board will start work on the redevelopment model by replacing dilapidated houses with modern, convenient flats in the Bahadurpur area of Patna. The Bihar cabinet on Wednesday approved the memorandum of understanding (MoU)with NBCC for redevelopment of dilapidated residential colony of Bahadurpur Sector-6 of Patna. Another MoU with NBCC was also approved for self-financed project on 8.5 acres of land in Bahadurpur Sector-5. Altogether, the cabinet approved 30 proposals involving various sectors. The Cabinet approved the draft of Bihar Green Hydrogen Policy-2026 and sanctioned Rs 351.85 crore revised cost of electrification of 21,644 houses in 177 settlements of Kaimur-Rohtas.Another significant approval was Rs.62.52 cr for 30 water cannons and 86 new vehicles for law-and-order maintenance. The proposal for contractual appointments on 35 posts for the operation of museums in the state, including Vaishali, were also approved. The first revised administrative approval of Rs.115.90 crore was given for the construction of Tarapur bypass, while another Rs 87.63 crores approval was given for for the construction of a bypass from Rangaon-Bhagalpura path to Dhauni in Munger. The Skilled Youth Programme i.e. 'Digital Mitra' has been approved for implementation with amendments. Under this scheme, the youth will be trained for a total of 270 hours.
