Pithoragarh, Sept. 14 -- Border Roads Organisation (BRO) will soon reconstruct the Bailey bridge at Kulagar on the Dharchula-Gunji motor road near the India-China border in Pithoragarh district after the 170-metre-long bridge was swept away by water on Saturday, an official said. Ashish Joshi, SDM Dharchula, said the BRO would reconstruct the bridge at the site and work to restore the road connectivity to the higher Himalayan valleys would be taken up soon. The bridge, which provides connectivity towards the high Himalayan valleys of Darma, Vyas and Chaudans, was swept away on Saturday, bringing vehicular traffic to the areas to a halt.
