Jaipur, Oct. 3 -- Surgeons at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College and Hospital in Jaipur have successfully removed a giant retroperitoneal sarcoma weighing 28.6 kg from a 59-year-old woman in a complex three-hour surgery. An official release on Friday states that the surgery posed several challenges because of the tumour's enormous size and its close relationship with vital organs and structures. The ureter was positioned anterior to the tumour, making its careful separation particularly difficult.
