Triple murder suspect held at Panvel bus stand
NAVI MUMBAI, Oct. 11 -- A 44-year-old man wanted in a triple murder case in Buldhana was apprehended by the Navi Mumbai traffic police at the Panvel state transport (ST) bus stand on Thursday evening during a security drive ahead of Navratri. Deepak Fatesingh Suradkar is accused of killing his 75-year-old mother, 48-year-old brother and 21-year-old nephew over a land dispute before fleeing his village, police said.
The murders allegedly took place on October 1 in Somthana village in Chikhli taluka of Buldhana district.
Suradkar allegedly fled after the incident, fearing arrest, an officer said. Around 7pm on October 9, personnel from the Panvel City Traffic Branch spotted Suradkar near the ST bus stand with an injury to his hand.
He initially evaded questions about his identity and address but later identified himself as a resident of Somthana village. During questioning, he allegedly disclosed that he had killed his mother, brother and nephew following a land dispute. htc...
