Mumbai, June 1 -- A 17-year-old girl student was allegedly molested by an unidentified man in a lift at the Dahanukarwadi Metro station in Kandivali West on Friday morning, following which police have registered a case against the accused. The incident occurred around 11:50am when the teenager arrived at the metro station and entered the lift to reach Platform No. 1. According to the police, the accused was already inside the lift. Seeing the girl alone, he allegedly molested her while the elevator doors were shut. The man allegedly touched the victim inappropriately, which left the girl terrified. The girl then approached a metro staff for assistance and then approached the police, who registered a case against the unidentified man and began efforts to trace him. Officials from Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) confirming the incident said: "We are assisting the police in every possible way. There are 64 CCTVs at this station alone and we are providing it's footage as well. When the incident happened, the victim first approached our staff for help, which was duly provided, before she went to the police station for lodging a complaint"....
