Mumbai, Sept. 24 -- The Mumbai Cricket Association on Wednesday expanded its T20 Mumbai League with the addition of ninth team, representing Navi Mumbai region, to be operated by Aspect Sports. The franchise operating rights were awarded for Rs. 106.88 crores over a six-year period, with Rs. 12.21 crores for its first season. The Indian Premier League player auction ahead of the 2027 season will be held in Goa in mid-December. After taking the auction overseas for three consecutive years to Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the auction returns home. This would be the last mini-auction in the current three-year cycle. The India A Women tie against Australia A, scheduled from Sept 29 to Oct 2, has been shifted from Dharamshala to Mohali.
