Shah: Intensify vigilance along Indo-Nepal border
New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday directed intensified vigilance, coordinated inter-agency action and stricter financial scrutiny in India-Nepal border districts to stop infiltration and illegal migration, according to officials familiar with the matter.
At a review meeting in Purnea, Shah directed officers that following the completion of the SIR exercise, all reported death cases will be thoroughly verified through due process.
Shah chaired the meeting in Purnea, Bihar, to address the security concerns in the border districts.
