MUMBAI, May 3 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP from Parbhani Sanjay Jadhav, who skipped a meeting called by party chief Uddhav Thackeray last week, hinted on Saturday that he may exit the party. At a function in Parbhani, Jadhav told local party leaders, "At present I am with you but politics is changing rapidly; I will take a decision according to the political situation in the future." He also said, "In politics social work is no more important; money has replaced everything. Only money matters during elections while voters base their decisions on the money they get." The video of his statement at the function has gone viral, sparking speculations that he may leave Thackeray in the near future. Incidentally, Jadhav met Union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi last month, and skipped a meeting called by Thackeray last week in Mumbai to discuss organisational matters. Speculation is rife that he may defect to BJP or Shiv Sena. When Shiv Sena split in 2022, Jadhav chose not to join the Eknath Shinde faction and remained with Thackeray.
