Rohit: Hope India carry momentum forward
Mumbai, March 15 -- The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Saturday announced Season 4 of the T20 Mumbai League while also launching the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League, which will be played by three teams.
The trophies for both tournaments were unveiled by Rohit Sharma, face of the league, at an event that was also attended by Mumbai and India player Sayali Satghare.
For Sharma, the Mumbai leagues come at a time when both the men's and women's national teams have been enjoying international success.
"To come out with flying colours and achieve what we have achieved, not just the men's team but also the women's team winning that World Cup in (Navi) Mumbai was fantastic to watch," he said.
"Recently, the men's team, what they did was phenomenal. I hope this is just the start, there is no looking back from here because once you get that momentum. we often talk about momentum and now both the men's and women's teams have that momentum. All I hope is that we carry this momentum forward."...
