PM Modi to launch Rs.6.3k-cr UP projects
VARANASI, April 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh from Tuesday, an official statement said.
Modi will participate in a women conference in Varanasi and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth around Rs.6,350 crore.He will also address a gathering on the occasion in his parliamentary constituency on Tuesday, the statement said. On Wednesday, Modi will travel to Hardoi where he will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway, and will also address a gathering on the occasion.
Modi will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains -- Varanasi to Pune (Hadapsar) and Ayodhya to Mumbai (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) -- on April 28.
"All preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit have already been completed, and are well in place," Varanasi divisional commissioner S Rajalingam said. On Wednesday, the PM will hold a road show from Lahurabir to the gate of the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
Meanwhile, Modi led a mega roadshow in Gangtok on Monday evening after arriving in Sikkim to attend the closing ceremony of 50 years of statehood.
From the helipad, the PM began the roadshow, which concluded at Lok Bhavan, where he will stay overnight. On Tuesday, Modi will visit the Orchidarium in Gangtok.htc...
