Pawar to lead Mumbai selection panel
Mumbai, June 19 -- Former left-arm spinner Rajesh Pawar was appointed chairman of Mumbai's senior men's selection committee while Omkar Salvi was retained as the head coach for the 2026-27 season, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced on Thursday.
For the women's senior team, Manish More was appointed chairman of the selection committee, with Ajay Kadam named the head coach. Pawar played 84 first-class matches for Mumbai and Baroda. Other members of the men's senior panel include Ravi Thakar, Jitendra Thackeray, Vikrant Yeligati and Ravi Kulkarni.
The MCA also appointed a dedicated men's under-23 selection committee to "enable wider coverage of matches and more focused assessment of performances," according to the MCA statement....
