MUMBAI, May 28 -- To pre-empt communal tension over goats being sacrificed on Eid-al-Adha, the Mumbai Police will deploy 10,110 police constables, 1,980 police officers, 61 assistant commissioners of police, 21 deputy commissioners of police, and eight additional commissioners of police on Thursday. Trouble broke out in Mira Road and Ghatkopar over goats being kept in housing societies ahead of slaughter during Thursday's Eid festivities. "We will be maintaining heavy police bandobast outside all mosques and Muslim localities across the city.
