Om, Unnati earn contrasting wins
Mumbai, June 30 -- India's Om Semwal edged out Spain's Hugo Jaen 15-13, 8-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-9 in 69 minutes in the men's opening round of the HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour-Mumbai at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana Club on Monday.
In the women's draw, Unnati Tripathi had to work hard to beat Egypt's Mona Tamer 11-9, 11-8, 11-9.
Among the bigger names competing at the tournament, Velavan Senthilkumar and Tanvi Khanna, both ranked No.3 in the country, will lead India's challenge among the players from 15 countries competing.
Khanna, the third seed, will begin her campaign against compatriot Pooja Raghu.
Meanwhile, second seed Velavan begins his campaign against fellow-Indian Ayaan Vaziralli, who beat Hridhaan Shah 11-6, 11-7, 11-3 in Monday....
