Month-long celebrations to mark PM's birthday
MUMBAI, Sept. 13 -- Ten iconic sites in Mumbai will be illuminated among other events to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17. The month-long celebrations, organised by the Mumbai unit of the BJP, will be called 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.
"On September 17, ten prominent locations including the Gateway of India, Aarey Colony, Banganga, Girgaum Chowpatty, Bandra Bandstand and Sanjay Gandhi National Park, will be illuminated as part of the celebrations. We will also light lit diyas at 10,000 booths across Mumbai under the 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' initiative," said Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam.
The 'Seva First Innovation Challenge' aims at providing youth, students, sart-ups and innovators a platform to showcase their ideas and products. Winners will receive seed-funding from the government," he added....
