Former Mumbai and India captain Rahane had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this year. The 38-year-old had played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is for the Indian team. The Cricket Improvement Committee, headed by former India pacer Raju Kulkarni was granted an extension. In other decisions, MCA decided to allocate a corpus fund of Rs 500 crore, up from the previous Rs 100 crore.
