MUMBAI, March 7 -- Pravin Lonkar, brother of alleged gangster Shubham Lonkar, has been arrested for the shooting at the Juhu home of Hindi film producer-director Rohit Shetty. Pravin, already in custody at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail for the 2024 murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Friday. He was charged with attempted murder, sections of the Arms Act and MCOCA. Now in the custody of the Crime Branch at Crawford Market, Pravin is suspected to have coordinated the conspiracy in the Rohit Shetty firing from jail. He is also suspected to have overseen weapons and vehicle arrangements through the Pune module of the gang. Pravin and Shubham Lonkar are accused in both the Siddique and Shetty cases. Shubham, the alleged mastermind in both cases, is a fugitive overseas. Pravin, on the other hand, was arrested in Pune only days after Siddique's murder in Bandra east, in October 2024. In the Rohit Shetty case, five bullets were fired at the director's Juhu residence, Shetty Tower, on February 1. Pravin is the 13th suspect to be arrested in the case....
