Mumbai, June 14 -- Chinmay Sutar scored 61 as the MSC Maratha Royals successfully defended their title in the final of the T20 Mumbai League against ARCS Andheri at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday. Batting first, the Royals were reduced to 47 for 3 at the end of seven overs. Sutar was then joined at the crease by captain Siddhesh Lad, who scored 33 off 25, as the duo steered the team with a 65-run partnership. The Royals' eventually reached 154/5 at the end of their 20 overs. The Andheri team's chase however, did not start well with star opener Musheer Khan being bowled for a duck and the in-form Arjun Tendulkar being dismissed for just two runs. Opener Divyaansh Saxena however, provided resistance with a knock of 51 off 40. Just as ARCS Andheri seemed poised to chase the target, with Pragnesh Kanpille (28), Gaurav Jathar (23) and World Cup winner with India Shivam Dube (15) playing brisk knocks, the Royals' bowling-unit, led by Indian Premier League star Tushar Deshpande, took wickets at regular intervals to eventually restrict the opposition to 146/8, and secure an eight-run win. Brief scores: MSC Maratha Royals 154/5 (Chinmay Sutar 61, Siddhesh Lad 33) beat ARCS Andheri 146/8 (Divyaansh Saxena 51)...
