Fire on 7th floor of Bandra Bldg, one rescued
Mumbai, June 18 -- A fire broke out on the seventh floor of Atlantic Building on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra West on Wednesday night, engulfing the entire floor. Chief fire officer Ravindra Ambulgekar said one trapped person was rescued.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the fire was confined to electrical wiring, installations and household articles in Rooms 701 and 702 of the ground-plus-seven-storey building. Some occupants were reported stranded on the seventh floor, prompting search and rescue operations.
During the operation, firefighter Shivshankar Bharat Puri suffered dizziness and dehydration and was shifted to Bhabha Hospital for treatment. htc...
