Police said the driver allegedly failed to notice that the car lift was not at the podium level and drove straight into the open duct. The accident occurred around 9.15pm at Horizon Gold Building in Kandivali West, where the Maruti Suzuki car fell from the second podium level into the lift pit. The driver, Subhash Kumar Yadav suffered minor injuries. Shiv Sena leader and the car's owner, Vipul Doshi, said the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of keeping the vehicle on the brake while waiting for the car lift to align, causing the car to plunge into the lift pit. Following the incident, security guards alerted the police and fire brigade, while Yadav was taken to Astha Hospital, where he was treated and later discharged. Doshi ruled out any malfunction of the car lift, maintaining that the incident was the result of a 'human error'....
