Mumbai, May 17 -- A day after mayor Ritu Tawde ordered action against unauthorised structures at the Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Mulund, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday demolished several temporary sheds, a turf and other illegal constructions inside the premises. A team of over 25 workers from the BMC's T ward removed sheds near the Tathastu Auditorium, fibre-sheet structures near the badminton court and cultural hall, flex installations, and a temporary shed in the tennis court gallery. Tawde had alleged that former mayor Kishori Pednekar had illegally allowed a private hospitality firm to operate on lease inside the sports complex....
