Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- Water supply in parts of M East and M West wards will be disrupted for 24 hours from 10 am on September 29 to 10 am on September 30, as the BMC undertakes commissioning work for the water tunnel connecting the Turbhe Low-Level Reservoir with the Turbhe High-Level Reservoir. In M East ward, the disruption will affect parts of Govandi, Mankhurd, Deonar, Shivaji Nagar, Baiganwadi, Cheeta Camp and Vashi Naka, among other areas. In M West ward, affected areas will include Chembur, Tilak Nagar, Ghatla, Suman Nagar, Wamanwadi, Subhash Nagar, Chembur Camp, Mahul, Vashi, Pestom Sagar, Sahakar Nagar, Shell Colony and parts of P L Lokhande Marg. The BMC said water supply is also likely to remain at low pressure for the following seven days as the tunnel is commissioned. Residents have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during this period.
