LUCKNOW, July 15 -- The University of Lucknow has issued a statutory warning to prevent ragging at the university's old and new campuses. The university administration has issued phone numbers for senior officials so that victim students may easily reach out for redressal of grievances. The proctor office said the identity of the informant or complainant will be kept confidential. This complaint box should be opened and checked daily by the Head of the Department or a person authorized by them, and the complaint letters should be forwarded to the proctor's office with a recommendation for necessary action. Information should be disseminated among the students of Lucknow University-or displayed on departmental notice boards-stating that they may report incidents of ragging at their convenience via the anti-ragging helpline number (1800-180-5522) or email (helpline@antiragging.in). Members of the Proctorial Board (Anti-Ragging Flying Squad) must regularly patrol the campus, hostels, and other areas to ensure effective action in this regard. It is imperative to remain vigilant at the departmental level to prevent any untoward incidents. "We are continuously striving for the progressive advancement of this prestigious university with your cooperation. Your immense support is essential for maintaining discipline and effectively curbing reprehensible acts like ragging at Lucknow University," said Prof Rakesh Dwivedi, LU's chief proctor....
