Youth succumbs to bullet injuries after 18-day hospitalisation
PRAYAGRAJ, April 12 -- A young man injured in a shooting incident following a minor dispute in Devra Dandi village under Kaundhiyara police station limits of Prayagraj succumbed to his injuries after 18 days of treatment. The victim died late Friday evening at the District Hospital.
Dharmaraj Adivasi, 30, got into an argument with a few villagers over a trivial issue around 6:30 pm last Tuesday. What began as a verbal altercation quickly escalated, and the accused allegedly opened fire, hitting Dharmaraj with a bullet in the back. He collapsed on the spot in critical condition.
Villagers rushed Dharmaraj to Kaundhiyara Community Health Centre, where doctors referred him to the District Hospital due to his critical injuries. Despite continuous treatment, his condition remained critical, and he passed away late Friday evening.
Police have named Atul Singh, Shubham Singh, and one unidentified person as accused in the case. All of them have been absconding since the incident. SHO Kaundhiyara Kuldeep Sharma confirmed that a case had already been registered against the named accused, and raids were underway to nab them....
