LUCKNOW, July 1 -- Three policemen, including an inspector, suffered minor injuries on Tuesday in stone-pelting during a protest over the death of a 20-year-old youth whose body was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in Katyara village of Barabanki district's Ramnagar area on Monday. Alleging that the youth was murdered over a suspected affair and demanding registration of a murder case, his kin and other villagers blocked the Bahraich highway by placing the deceased's body, police said. The blockade, which lasted nearly two hours, brought highway traffic to a standstill before police restored normal movement. Police said the youth's body was found hanging inside his house on Monday afternoon. After the post-mortem, the family and villagers staged a protest, demanding that police register a murder case and immediately arrest the accused.
