PRAYAGRAJ, March 30 -- A young motorcyclist was killed and two others injured on Sunday evening under the Tharwai police station area after their bike was hit by an SUV. The injured youths are receiving treatment at the Bani community health centre (CHC). The accident occurred near Khyorajpur village, while all three were traveling together on a single motorcycle to fetch petrol in Sahso. Vikas Gautam, 18, a resident of Sitaisipah village in Mauaima, was riding to Sahso when the SUV, reportedly speeding and coming from the opposite direction, struck their motorcycle around 4 pm. He was accompanied by his relative Manish Kumar, 19, and friend Nitin, 17, who lives in Kanshiram Awas Yojana colony, Phaphamau. The collision caused all three to fall onto the road, and the motorcycle caught fire. Villagers quickly extinguished the flames and called a '108' ambulance, which took the youths to Bani CHC. Vikas Gautam, who sustained the most severe injuries, was declared dead on arrival. Manish Kumar and Nitin were admitted for treatment. Tharwai police arrived at the CHC after being informed and sent Vikas's body for postmortem examination....
