LUCKNOW, Sept. 17 -- A youth convention titled 'Lucknow with GenZ' was convened on Wednesday at the Gandhi Auditorium, bringing together students, young professionals, social activists, journalists and political satirists to address pressing challenges in education, employment and civil rights. The programme was part of the ongoing 'GEN-Z Mahajutan Yatra,' a statewide outreach initiative organised under the nationwide 'GenZ Rising' campaign. The primary motive of the gathering was to create a unified platform connecting scattered student-youth struggles across Uttar Pradesh. Addressing the gathering, Neha Bora, national president of the All India Students Association (AISA) highlighted widespread youth discontent. "Across the country, thousands of Jantar Mantars are smoldering. Students and young people are fighting in different places against paper leaks, unemployment, rising educational costs and an increasingly unaccountable system," Bora said. "GenZ Rising is an attempt to bring these struggles together and turn this generation's anger, aspirations and questions into a powerful democratic voice." Emphasising the situation in Uttar Pradesh, AISA state president Manish Kumar noted that the crisis extends across multiple sectors.
