PRAYAGRAJ, March 18 -- The body of a young woman was found on Tuesday afternoon in the Sharda Auxiliary Canal (Narai) near Ashogi village in the Sangramgarh police station area of Pratapgarh district. Villagers alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and, with the help of local residents, recovered the body from the water. According to the police, the deceased is an approximately 25-year-old woman wearing a yellow salwar suit. Her face bore visible injuries, and blood was seen around her mouth. Police made efforts to identify the woman, but her identity could not be established. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
