Gorakhpur, May 17 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday evening completed his online self-enumeration form under the first phase of the ongoing Census 2027 and appealed to citizens across the state to actively participate in the process before May 21. He filled out the digital self-enumeration form at his residence in the Gorakhnath Temple complex, logging into the official census portal and entering all required details. Describing it as the country's first fully digital census exercise, Adityanath said the initiative aims to collect accurate, real-time data to build a stronger framework for development and welfare schemes under the vision of "Our Census, Our Development." He stated that the census is not merely a population count but a crucial foundation for inclusive and well-planned development. He added that Census 2027 would help ensure the equal participation of every section of society in the development process. The chief minister further said that the use of digital technology for real-time data collection has made the census process more transparent, efficient, and faster.
