Yogi clears over 1,000 projects worth Rs.4,901 crore in Gonda
LUCKNOW, June 20 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday approved the development of 13 major routes connecting Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth, the Swaminarayan temple in Devipatan division, Makhoda Dham in Basti and other prominent religious sites. He cleared more than 1,000 development projects worth over Rs.4,901.65 crore in Gonda.
During his visit, Adityanath reviewed proposals submitted by public representatives from 33 assembly constituencies and directed officials to improve connectivity to Maa Pateshwari Shaktipeeth Dham and other key religious destinations.
The chief minister also reviewed development projects in Basti, Siddharth Nagar and Sant Kabir Nagar districts of Basti division.
Discussions focused on improving rural connectivity, reconstructing dilapidated roads, strengthening link roads and undertaking bridge and flyover projects.
He approved 810 works under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, involving an expenditure of about Rs.1,472.83 crore. Under the scheme, 1,602 km of rural roads will be constructed, while more than 50 roads will be widened and repaired.
Adityanath also approved the development of two state highways, measures to improve connectivity to major industrial areas, construction of 81 minor bridges and seven major bridges. For better traffic management in urban areas, he cleared projects related to bypass roads, overbridges and other infrastructure works....
