Yogi, Akhilesh, other politicalleaders offer condolences
LUCKNOW, May 14 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, finance and parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Khanna and other leaders visited Prateek Yadav's residence and offered condolences.
Adityanath said the "sudden demise" of Prateek Yadav was "extremely heartbreaking".
"The sudden demise of Shri Prateek Yadav Ji, son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, 'Padma Vibhushan', the late Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji, and husband of Smt Aparna Yadav Ji, Vice-Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, is extremely heartbreaking. Humble tribute," Adityanath posted on X.
"I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed soul and provide the bereaved family with the strength to bear this profound sorrow. Om Shanti! he added. Adityanath met Aparna, her two daughters and family members and paid his tributes.
Akhilesh Yadav wrote on X, "Prateek Yadav is no longer among us today. It is a matter of great sorrow. He was young. Since childhood, he was very conscious about his health and wanted to move ahead in life. He was a very good boy who wanted to achieve something through his own hard work."
Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly speaker Satish Mahana stated that the untimely passing of Prateek Yadav is profoundly tragic and distressing, said a press statement issued by his office. Deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya wrote on X, "The sudden demise of Shri Prateek Yadav.is deeply tragic."
Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak wrote on X, " have received the deeply sorrowful news regarding the passing of Shri Prateek Yadav.My deepest condolences."...
