VARANASI, July 6 -- The body of an unidentified woman wrapped in a plastic bag was found in bushes along a highway near Ranipur Trisection under the Madiyahu police station area of Jaunpur on Sunday, police said. After receiving information, a police team reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Police suspect the woman was murdered elsewhere and her body was later brought to the site and dumped in the bushes to conceal her identity. Circle officer Vijay Chaudhary said teams have been formed to investigate the case. The identity of the woman is yet to be established. Police officials said the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report is received. As part of the investigation, police are examining CCTV footage from the highway and nearby areas to identify those who may have brought the body to the spot.
