Woman kills grandfather with lover's help for intervening in their affair
Agra, July 6 -- A woman was arrested a day before her marriage for allegedly killing her grandfather at a village within the limits of Tundla police station in Firozabad district. Police informed that the accused, along with her lover, killed and burnt her grandfather's body because he opposed their relationship.
The 20-year-old accused woman and her 22-year-old lover were both school dropouts who knew each other and refused to separate.
The woman's grandfather had fixed her marriage to someone else for July 6, but police arrested the accused a day before. The arrest was made in connection with crime case no. 319 of 2026 registered at Tundla police station of Firozabad district under section 103(1) (murder), 238 (causing disappearance of evidence), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and 4/25 of Arms Act. Police arrested both accused on Sunday near a tower on Banna Road behind FH Medical College in Firozabad.
Incharge of Tundla police station, Baijnath Singh said that both accused man and woman in love had stabbed Baba Brahmrishi aka Narendra Pal Singh (80), the woman's grandfather, on the night of June 24 and 25 this year and burnt the body to destroy evidence. Police recovered the knife used in stabbing the grandfather. Wife of the deceased had filed a complaint at Tundla police station against her granddaughter and her lover. The accused lover Vipin had a criminal past, police claimed....
