Woman bludgeons partner to death at Agra hotel, held
Agra, April 18 -- A man in mid-30s was found dead in a hotel room in the Itora region of Agra district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased had checked in the room on Friday morning along with a woman who was present in the room when police reached.
Police are interrogating the woman, also in her 30s, who has reportedly confessed to killing the man over some dispute. Police recovered a sharp-edged weapon, hammer and liquor bottles.
Aditya Singh, deputy commissioner of police (Agra West), said, "Police reached the hotel and found the body of a man in a pool of blood in a hotel room.
On enquiry, it was found that the deceased was named Khillo (35) and was a resident of Shivpuri village within the limits of Fatehpur Sikri police station of Agra."
"Police found a woman at the spot and on interrogation she revealed that along with the deceased man, she had checked into the hotel on Friday morning but had a dispute with him. She killed the man with a sharp-edged weapon and a heavy object she had brought," stated the DCP.
"The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination and family members of the deceased have been informed. The woman found in the room is being interrogated to know more details," he said.
Both the deceased and the woman were revealed to be distantly related. The woman is married and has a child. She had herself informed the hotel staff about the murder and made no effort to escape....
