LUCKNOW, April 12 -- A 37-year-old woman patient from Lucknow alleged on Saturday that a male doctor at the King George's Medical University (KGMU)'s urology department molested her during an ultrasound examination during the day. Later in the day, she submitted a written complaint to the head of the department Dr Apul Goel, prompting an internal inquiry by the hospital administration. Confirming the development, Dr Goel said: "The matter is being investigated. Statements of the concerned doctor and staff present at the ultrasound unit will be recorded." The proctor's office has also been informed of it.In her complaint, the woman, who is suffering from a urological ailment, alleged that no female staff member was present in the ultrasound room during her test.
