Uttarakhand CM reviews Char Dham Yatra preparations in Rudraprayag
Dehradun, April 17 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra during his visit to Rudraprayag district and directed officials to complete all remaining arrangements within the next two days.
Dhami held a review meeting with district officials in Guptkashi to assess preparations for the annual pilgrimage, which is scheduled to commence on April 19. During the meeting, Dhami directed officials to "ensure robust security arrangements along the entire yatra route" and asked departments to maintain close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. He also instructed officials to "keep JCB machines stationed at landslide-prone zones at all times so that roads can be cleared quickly in case of any obstruction during the yatra".
Dhami said that the "state government is fully prepared for the Char Dham Yatra and that several meetings have already been held to review arrangements related to pilgrim facilities, traffic management, health services and disaster response".
Dhami was welcomed by local residents at various locations in Rudraprayag district. He interacted with locals and reviewed ground-level arrangements being made for pilgrims. The CM also warned that strict action would be taken against those spreading misleading or false information related to pilgrimage.
