UPSRTC to run 200 buses daily for Navratri pilgrims in Prayagraj-Vns region
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 10 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will operate around 200 buses daily from October 10 to 20 to help pilgrims visiting Vindhyachal Dham and Kada Dham during Sharadiya Navratri.
Buses will be available every 15 minutes on key routes, while 25 buses will be kept on standby on major routes to manage any sudden rise in passenger numbers, officials said. The special arrangements will cover the Prayagraj and Varanasi roadways regions. Additional bus services will be introduced on routes connecting Prayagraj, Mirzapur and other nearby districts to ensure smooth travel for devotees, officials added.
According to UPSRTC Prayagraj regional manager Ravindra Kumar, the number of buses operating between Prayagraj and Mirzapur via Vindhyachal has been increased from 26 on normal days to 65 during Navratri, in view of the expected rush of pilgrims. Under the special schedule, 25 buses will operate on the Mirzapur-Jaunpur-Azamgarh route, 50 on the Mirzapur-Vindhyachal-Prayagraj route, 30 on the Mirzapur-Robertsganj route and five on the Mirzapur-Ghorawal route.
Five buses each will also operate on the Mirzapur-Hanumana, Pratapgarh-Prayagraj-Vindhyachal, Lalganj-Prayagraj-Vindhyachal, Badshahpur-Prayagraj-Vindhyachal and Kada Dham-Prayagraj-Vindhyachal routes....
