LUCKNOW, June 1 -- Vijay Kiran Anand, chief executive officer of the UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), conducted an extensive inspection of various industrial and residential areas in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad districts. During the visit, the CEO inspected Site-5 Kasna, EPIP Kasna, Surajpur Site-4, Site-B, Site-C, Residential Sector Site-C, Ansal Area, and Trans Delhi Signature City (TDS City) in Ghaziabad, said a press statement on Sunday. During the inspection, he made a site visit to Basi drain in Trans Delhi Signature City to review measures for the permanent resolution of waterlogging issues. Anand directed the appointment of a hydrologist and instructed the Jal Nigam to take necessary steps for the effective mitigation of the problem. He also directed to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the repair and reconstruction of damaged roads. Speaking on the occasion, the CEO said, "Our priority is to develop industrial areas into modern, well-planned, and investor-friendly destinations. Work is being undertaken under a time-bound action plan to strengthen water supply, roads, sewerage systems, parks, and other essential infrastructure." To ensure the quality of development works, instructions were issued for more rigorous testing and evaluation of ongoing projects through M/s RITES Limited, a Government of India enterprise. Industrial associations were directed to coordinate with UPSIDA for preparing a standard operating procedure to ensure effective implementation of solid waste management and annual maintenance contract activities, the press statement said.
