LUCKNOW, Sept. 2 -- The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) will undertake a month-long maintenance drive from September 15 to October 14 to strengthen the power distribution network and ensure uninterrupted supply during Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. UPPCL chairman and additional chief secretary (Energy) Ashish Kumar Goyel has directed distribution companies to inspect and repair substations, transformers and 33 kV, 11 kV and LT lines. The drive will focus on permanently fixing recurring faults and feeder tripping. Damaged equipment, worn-out wires and loose connections will be replaced, while tree branches near power lines will be pruned....
