Lucknow, March 7 -- The chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) on Friday directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state capital and warned of strict action against negligence. Taking note of lapses in certain areas, the chairman ordered disciplinary action against officials. The Chairman ordered charge sheets to be issued to the superintendent engineer and executive engineer of the Amausi area for negligence in work. Executive engineers posted in the Amausi (Raids) and Jankipuram divisions were given adverse entries in their service records for laxity. The instructions were issued during a high-level review meeting held at Shakti Bhawan, chaired by UPPCL chairman Ashish Kumar Goyal. The meeting focused on preparations for maintaining stable electricity supply in Lucknow during the peak summer season.
