LUCKNOW, July 18 -- Favourites UP Police continued to hog the limelight in the District Football League 2026 even on Friday, notching up a convincing 4-0 win over DCA Club, at the Chowk Stadium here. Sayyad set the tone with a clinical finish in the fourth minute (1-0), and the visitors struggled to recover. UP Police controlled possession and pressed high, forcing turnovers that created scoring chances. Nihal doubled the lead just before halftime in the 36th minute (2-0), and Noman added a third in the 40th (3-0), with both strikes exposing gaps in DCA's defensive structure. After the break, UP Police maintained momentum and wrapped up the rout when Nishant converted in the 52nd minute (4-0). The clean sheet reflected a cohesive defensive effort combined with incisive attacking transitions. The second match delivered a tighter contest as LDA (B) Club edged City Club 2-1. LDA (B) struck early when Krishna finished smartly in the eighth minute to give them the lead. City Club responded quickly as Awadhesh levelled in the 12th minute with a well timed run and composed finish, briefly shifting momentum. The game stayed competitive until the 35th minute when Kartik restored LDA (B)'s advantage with a precise strike that proved decisive. Both sides created chances after halftime, but resolute defending and measured game management from LDA (B) preserved their lead.
