Dehradun, Sept. 17 -- The state government has decided to extend the benefits of the minimum wage scale and dearness allowance (DA) to personnel outsourced through Uttarakhand Purv Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) across various departments, officials said. UPNL personnel will receive these benefits in three phases based on their date of engagement, they added. The first phase will cover personnel engaged before January 1, 2016. The second phase will cover those engaged between January 1, 2016, and November 12, 2018. The third phase will cover personnel engaged between November 13, 2018, and October 15, 2024. Yugal Kishore Pant, secretary (Sainik Welfare), said in the order that in departments where UPNL personnel exceeds those in sanctioned or created posts, they would be adjusted against available posts according to the seniority of their appointment dates. The decision also covered former UPNL personnel currently working on direct contracts.
