PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 16 -- The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on Tuesday issued advertisements for 15,012 teaching posts in the basic and secondary education departments, including 12,405 assistant teacher and 2,607 PGT vacancies. The commission issued advertisements for 897 assistant teacher posts in attached primary sections of government-aided secondary schools and 11,508 assistant teacher (urban) posts under the basic education department. Online registration and applications for these 12,405 posts will begin on September 16. Candidates will first have to complete one-time registration (OTR). The last date for depositing the application fee is October 15, while corrections can be made till October 19. The recruitment examination will be held on December 3 and 4. UPESSC chairman Prashant Kumar said the commission had also issued advertisements for recruitment to 2,607 vacant PGT posts in government-aided secondary schools. Registration and applications for the PGT posts will begin on September 18. Candidates can deposit the application fee till October 17 and make corrections in their applications till October 21. The examination is scheduled for December 15 and 16. Kumar appealed to candidates to carefully read the detailed advertisement and instruction booklet available on the commission's website before applying and ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. He said the commission would not issue separate advice or clarification regarding the qualifications or eligibility for the advertised posts. Candidates would be responsible for ensuring their eligibility before submitting applications.
