LUCKNOW, Sept. 29 -- Seventh-seeded Arsh Mohammad of Uttar Pradesh and Sourav Sahu of Chhattisgarh won the men's doubles title at the All India Ranking Badminton Tournament, defeating Karnataka's Sumit AR and Arya T 15-7, 15-12, at the UP Badminton Academy here on Monday. This was their first tournament together as a doubles pair, though Arsh previously won Senior and Junior National titles in 2024 and was runner-up at the 2022 ABC Under-17 Championship in Thailand. In the men's singles, Delhi's third-seeded Ginpaul Sona claimed the title by beating Haryana's second-seeded Ravi 15-13, 15-9, while Haryana's third-seeded Jiya Rawat won the women's singles, overcoming Chhattisgarh's fourth-seeded Rijul Saini 15-12, 12-15, 15-11 in a hard-fought three-game final. The mixed doubles title went to qualifier pair Bhavya Chhabra of Delhi and Aditi Bhatt of Uttarakhand, who defeated Tamil Nadu's Sanjay Srivats D and Aadya Variyath 15-13, 15-9. In women's doubles, fourth-seeded Aditi Bhatt of Uttarakhand and Shravani Walekar of Maharashtra triumphed over second seeds Nayana S. Oasis of Kerala and Varshini Viswanath of Tamil Nadu 15-10, 15-8. Lucknow District Bench Press and Dead Lift Championship will be held on October 4, at the Chowk Stadium here.
