UP RERA approves 13 projects worth Rs.1,300 crore
Lucknow, April 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on Thursday approved 13 new real estate projects worth over Rs.1,300.38 crore, paving the way for the development of around 1,976 residential and commercial units across the state.
The approvals were granted during the authority's 200th meeting held at its headquarters in the state capital. Projects from several districts were reviewed and cleared after ensuring compliance with regulatory norms.
The authority emphasised that timely approvals, along with strict monitoring, would promote transparency and accountability in the real estate sector while safeguarding the interests of homebuyers.
"UP RERA remains committed to promoting transparent and well-regulated growth in the real estate sector," said Sanjay Bhoosreddy, chairman, UP RERA.
The approved projects include a mix of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments aimed at improving housing availability and enhancing commercial infrastructure.
Ghaziabad emerged as the leading district in terms of investment as well as number of units. Two residential projects were approved in the district with a total investment of Rs 767.58 crores. These will together create 1,137 residential units, reinforcing Ghaziabad's position as one the key real estate destinations in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Lucknow recorded the highest number of approved projects. A total of five projects worth Rs 66.55 crores were cleared in the state capital.
These projects will lead to the development of 404 units, comprising two residential projects, two commercial projects, and one mixed-use development.
In Gautam Buddh Nagar, one commercial project received approval with an estimated investment of Rs 141.14 crore. The project will involve the development of 21 commercial units, further contributing to the district's growing commercial landscape.
Mathura received approval for one residential project with an investment of Rs 160.93 crore. This development will add 198 residential units and support planned housing expansion inthe region.
Similarly, one residential project in Saharanpur was approved with an estimated cost of Rs 131.49 crores, under which 83 residential units will be developed....
