LUCKNOW, May 23 -- Uttar Pradesh minister of state (independent charge) for Ayush, Dayashankar Mishra, on Friday directed officials to work towards taking Yoga and the Ayush system to every citizen. During a virtual review meeting with Ayush department officials, medical practitioners and principals of Ayush colleges, the minister said people should be encouraged to adopt Yoga and Ayush practices to strengthen immunity and lead healthy lives. He also asked officials to place special emphasis on promoting the cultivation of medicinal plants. Mishra said the Ayush sector has great potential for medicinal farming and urged officials to create awareness among farmers and institutions about its economic benefits.
