VARANASI, March 15 -- Kunwar Manvendra Singh, chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, stated that the SIR process is based on the principle proposed by Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar: "One Person, One Vote, One Value." According to a press communique, the second and final session of a two-day seminar on "The Statutory Utility of SIR" (Special Intensive Revision) was held on Saturday, presided over by Kunwar Manvendra Singh. He emphasised that the process plays a pivotal role in upholding public confidence in the democratic framework by identifying and removing bogus and duplicate entries from the voter rolls, ensuring meticulous scrutiny.
