UP Board terminates recognition for 465 affiliated schools
PRAYAGRAJ, June 18 -- The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) cancelled the recognition of 465 unaided secondary and intermediate schools across the state after they failed to enroll students or send any candidates for board examinations for two consecutive academic sessions.
Under the provisions of the Intermediate Education Act, 1921, the recognition of a high school or intermediate college is deemed to have lapsed automatically if no student appears in board examinations or classes are not conducted for two successive years.
