Lucknow, July 25 -- Amid protests by various student groups over recurring paper leaks and examination irregularities, Pankaj Chaudhary, Uttar Pradesh BJP president and Union minister of state for finance, on Friday met the students who cleared the NEET UG 2026 re-exam at his residence in Lucknow. Chaudhary said students are the nation's greatest strength and the architects of its future. "Students belong to no party or opposition; their sole aim is to achieve their goals and play a constructive role in the nation's development. The future of the youth and the future of the country should not be politicised; instead, solutions should be sought with positivity," he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's top priority is the welfare of students and decisions are being taken in their favour, he said. "Those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared. Dozens of pa- pers were leaked during previous governments. The BJP government has taken strict legal and administrative steps to ensure leak-proof examinations. Dozens of arrests have been made in paper leaks and three leak-proof examinations have been conducted in the past month," he said. The central government has decided to establish fast-track courts to ensure strict punishment for those found guilty in the paper leak cases, he said. "All relevant departments have been directed to ensure necessary action. This is an important step in a series of government decisions to protect the interests of students," he added....
